Nomad Yoga

Obout me

I’m originally from the USA, but I haven’t been there in a while. I’ve spent the past 18 years traveling around the world and living in places like Poland, Peru, South Korea, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and South Africa. I’ve learned a lot from my first hand experience with many different cultures and lifestyles and that knowledge is something I look forward to sharing with you.

My style

My style of Yoga comes from many different things outside of Yoga… My mother put me in gymnastics when I was 4, so I’ve been flexible and strong from a young age, but it wasn’t until later when I was ready to sit down that I started to learn the inner-teachings and lifestyle that is Yoga. After learning many sports and martial arts and becoming a second degree black belt in Kung Fu and a black belt in Hap Ki Do, I was also practicing Yoga on my own for a few years. I moved to South Africa to learn under one of South Africa’s Master Teacher’s, Jim Harrington, and from that moment I’ve always wanted to learn more. I would go on to spend a year and a half learning under him and during the same time, learn from many other amazing teachers and also become a Reiki Master. After that I spent a lot of time in India learning multiple styles of Yoga like: Hatha Yoga, Sivananda Yoga, Yoga Synergy, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Vinyasa Yoga. I moved to Bali to practice Ashtanga Yoga and learn Balinese Massage.

My classes

All Levels Vinyasa- This might be my favorite class out of all the kinds of Yoga that I teach. I love it. Vinyasa is the Sanskrit word for “breath,” but it’s also a style of dynamic Yoga that can be playful, fun, and a mindful moving meditation. It can be different from teacher to teacher and from studio to studio. And that’s fine. Different is not bad. A friend and teacher of mine in Bali once said, “Vinyasa is a creative style of Yoga that let’s the practitioner do whatever they want as long as they feel comfortable and safe.” I agree with that. And in my case you’re getting a big mix of all of my passions from not only many different styles of Yoga, but also Kung Fu, Reiki, Massage, Tai Chi/Q Gong that will get you moving to your maximum potential. I give lots of options so the class is good for all levels, all ages, all everything… Listen to your body. Do as much or as little as you want. If something hurts, stop. Take a breath. Relax. While I am the teacher, you are the ultimate guide.
